About Dampf Law

Meet Tina Dampf

A Trial Lawyer Who Understands the System From Every Angle

Tina Dampf did not arrive at civil litigation by accident.

For more than two decades, she has worked inside nearly every corner of the legal system—first as a prosecutor, then as defense counsel representing major insurance carriers, and now as a civil litigator helping clients navigate complex legal disputes.

That journey gave her something few attorneys possess:

A complete understanding of how cases are built, defended, and ultimately decided.

Where It Started: The Courtroom

Tina began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County, where she prosecuted criminal cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony offenses.

She handled bench trials, jury trials, and everything in between.

Those early years in the courtroom shaped the way she practices law today.

Preparation matters.
Persistence matters.
And when the stakes are high, advocacy matters most of all.

The courtroom remains where Tina feels most at home.

She is, at her core, a trial lawyer.

Inside the Insurance Industry

After her time as a prosecutor, Tina transitioned into civil litigation and spent nearly two decades working inside the insurance industry.

During that time, she served as:

  • In-house counsel for major insurance carriers
  • Claims management within insurance companies
  • Defense counsel at established litigation firms

She handled complex, high-exposure cases involving:

  • Property damage and catastrophic loss
  • Hurricane, wind, fire, and water damage claims
  • Medical malpractice and nursing home liability
  • Wrongful death and personal injury litigation
  • Construction defect disputes
  • Automobile and watercraft accidents

Working within the insurance industry gave Tina an intimate understanding of how insurers evaluate claims, investigate losses, and develop litigation strategies.

She saw firsthand how claims are analyzed and how decisions are made when disputes arise.

That perspective now allows her to approach cases with insight that many attorneys simply do not have.

A Strategic Advantage: Experience on Both Sides

Because Tina has represented both insurance companies and individual clients, she brings a uniquely balanced perspective to civil litigation.

She understands:

  • how insurers evaluate exposure
  • how defense strategies are developed
  • how plaintiffs build and present claims
  • where the pressure points exist in complex disputes

This dual perspective allows her to anticipate arguments, identify weaknesses early, and develop litigation strategies designed to move cases toward resolution.

In complex disputes, strategy often determines the outcome.

Civil Litigation Is the Focus

Today, Tina Dampf concentrates her practice on strategic civil litigation and litigation support, including:

  • Complex civil litigation in Florida state and federal courts
  • Contract and commercial disputes
  • Business and partnership disputes
  • Litigation strategy and case assessment
  • Co-counsel and of-counsel partnerships with other law firms
  • Trial counsel and second-chair trial support

Drawing on her experience as a former prosecutor, as in-house litigation counsel inside the insurance industry, and as a civil litigator, Tina brings a uniquely balanced perspective to every matter she takes on.

Clarity, strategy, and disciplined advocacy.

How Tina Works With Clients

Legal disputes can be stressful and uncertain.

Tina’s approach is built on three principles:

  • Listen carefully.
Every case begins with understanding the client’s situation and objectives.
  • Evaluate strategically.
Cases are analyzed from every angle to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Advocate effectively.
Whether negotiating or litigating, the focus remains on achieving the best possible outcome.

Clients can expect clear communication throughout the process. They will understand where the case stands, what options exist, and how decisions will be made moving forward.

There are no surprises and no guesswork—only strategy and advocacy.
